The Day Trippers are a seasoned wedding band, drawing inspiration from 60s and 70s psychedelic rock and soul. The band fills dancefloors with hits from Fleetwood Mac, Bob Dylan, David Bowie and more. They deliver energy and musicianship born from countless years practising their craft.

The Day Trippers have toured together with various bands over the years. The lineup have a close musical relationship and their sound reflects that. They mix their vintage sound with a classic setlist - it’s hard not to get up and dance when the Day Trippers get going.

The Day Trippers have the chops to fill the wedding reception dance floor all evening at and are some of the best in Wellington.

We have just had Jamie and the Gents perform for our ball of approx 500 people and they were absolutely incredible!! Superbad

Superbad is one of Wellington's most sought-after live bands, featuring a blend of funk, pop and Motown soul. The band formed in 2009 as a four piece, and while this is their standard line up, they now also offer the ‘Superbad Soul Section’. This much larger band features the standard superbad lineup with the addition of a full horn section.

The group's repertoire is impressive, including classics by Destiny’s Child, David Bowie, Stevie Wonder, The Jackson Five and Marvin Gaye. This blend of old and new hits will make sure the kids and grandparents alike are dancing all night long.

We hired Superbad Soul Section for our wedding in Marlborough in January 2018 after a recommendation from friends. Right from the outset it was clear they were a very professional outfit. Communication was friendly, clear and prompt. We were really happy with how flexible and accommodating they were in the lead up including learning (and nailing) our first dance song and incorporating a number of other requests into the setlist! The success of the actual day was in a big part due to them. During the canapés some of the group played some light Jazz which created the perfect atmosphere. When the full band started the dance floor was packed and remained so for the rest of the night. They played a perfect mix of songs and I’ve lost count of the number of people (young and old) who have complemented us on the choice of band and music. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Superbad Soul Section – they will guarantee a great D-floor atmosphere and are super easy to deal with. The Hustle

The Hustle features lead and backing vocals, bass, drums, guitar, saxophone and keys. For extra flair, the band can call in a three-piece horn section to liven up the sound even more.
